The first tier will get you two graphic novels–Mass Effect: Redemption and Mass Effect: Foundation–and The Art of Mass Effect Andromeda. Originally published by Dark Horse Comics, Redemption follows everyone’s favorite Asari Liara T’Soni on a dangerous mission, while Foundation focuses on the Illusive Man’s covert agent Rasa and how she became involved with the human-survivalist organization Cerberus. The Art of Mass Effect Andromeda features never-before-seen concept art from the game, making for a nice companion piece to it.

Tier Two will appeal to anyone who wants to dive deeper into Mass Effect, as it offers a total of eight graphic novels and three art books. You’ll get everything from the first tier, and the extra content here includes the origin of the Illusive Man, a siege story set on a space station, and several short stories about the crew of the Normandy. The two art books here–The Art of The Mass Effect Universe and The Art of the Mass Effect Trilogy: Expanded Edition–are treasure troves of illustrations and paintings that show how the visual foundation for the series was built. Fans can take control iconic Mass Effect characters like Commander Shepard, Liara, Wrex, Tali, and Garrus. The mission sees the team infiltrate a Cerberus cruiser on the planet Hagalaz. Alongside your teammates–though it’s fully playable solo–you’ll fight enemy soldiers and attempt to complete unique mission objectives before a deadly storm destroys the ship. Just like the video games, Priority Hagalaz has branching paths and multiple endings.
