Look, we get it. It’s a hard life, manufacturing and selling narcotics to a bunch of far too familiar strangers in a small town. Sure, you can have your skateboard, or even use some of the Schedule 1 cheats and console commands to teleport between named buildings, but if you just want to cruise around the neighborhood you’re going to need something a bit more efficient. Here’s how to buy a car in Schedule 1.
After that small teaser of using a vehicle during the game’s prologue, if you’re anything like us you’ll be itching to get a motor again. As well as being a faster method of transportation than running or skating, the car also contains additional storage spots, meaning you can complete larger drops or move furniture from one property to another much more easily. While owning a car in Schedule 1 is pretty low maintenance since they don’t require gas and can’t take damage, they do give you the edge when wanted or under arrest thanks to their speed which allows you to evade police faster.
After progressing the game’s main quest lines, you’ll eventually get a task to talk to three NPCs, one being the Hyland Auto salesperson. Hyland Auto is on the south of the town, near to where your RV initially burnt out in the beginning of the game. There are varying vehicle options available to purchase, but you’ll want to read our guide on how to make money fast in Schedule 1, because they don’t come cheap.
The available cars and their prices are:
- The Shitbox – $5,000
- The Veeper – $9,000
- The Bruiser – $12,000
- The Dinkler – $15,000
- The Hounddog – $25,000
- The Cheetah – $40,000

Once you’ve selected your vehicle, laundered enough money to get the cash into your online balance, and made your purchase, the car will appear right outside Hyland Auto. You just get in and drive away as a satisfied customer.
If you happen to get your car stuck, or just can’t remember which dark alleyway you left it down, head to the Auto Shop outside Hyland Auto. Here, you can recover your car. If your car’s totally fine, it’s still worth heading to the Auto Shop as you can customize it by painting it a different color.
