When it comes to iconic pairings from British cinema, Wallace & Gromit are easily at the top of that movie list, as they go together better than cheese and crackers. If you’ve been looking to dive into the early days of their exploits, you can preorder Wallace & Gromit: The Complete Cracking Collection on 4K Blu-ray for $30 at Walmart or Amazon ahead of its July 15 release.
At the time of writing on April 29, preorders are sold out at Amazon, but you can still snag a copy at Walmart. We’d expect Amazon to restock preorders before the July release. Both retailers offer preorder price guarantees, and you won’t be charged for your order until it ships.
$30 | Releases July 15
As mentioned above, this edition covers the original adventures of Wallace & Gromit in remastered 4K resolution, starting with their debut short film A Grand Day Out. You’re also getting The Wrong Trousers–the short film that introduced the sinister penguin Feathers McGraw–A Close Shave, and A Matter of Loaf and Death.
Additionally, all 10 super-short films from Cracking Contraptions are also included here.
For the special features, this collection includes an interview with creators Peter Lord and Nick Park, audio commentary tracks, several documentaries that go behind-the-scenes of the shorts, a picture gallery, and invention blueprints.
$81.53 (was $120) | Limited to 5,000 units

The Complete Cracking Collection originally released on 4K Blu-ray in December as part of a limited Collector’s Edition with extra content. Only 5,000 copies were made, so once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.
Originally $120, the Collector’s Edition is currently available for $81.53 at Amazon and Walmart.
The Collector’s Edition includes all of the shorts, the feature film Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and several nice physical extras. It comes in a display box designed to look like Wallace’s signature briefcase. Alongside the three discs–one more disc than the upcoming standard edition–you’ll get a sheet of character stickers and a 24-page booklet.

The Cracking Collection is also available on a standard Blu-ray on its own, but it’s worth noting that this version from Shout Factory doesn’t include any of the special features mentioned above. You’re still getting all of the shorts from the 4K edition and it is cheaper–currently $16.58 (was $25) on Amazon–but the new 4K edition is better value-for-money. Still, if you just want the original Wallace and Gromit adventures in 1080p and without extras, this option is available.
If you’re a fan of Wallace & Gromit, then you’re probably also fond of several other stop-motion animation projects developed by the duo’s studio, Aardman Animation. Chicken Run is currently available on Blu-ray for just $8.72, while Flushed Away is $17 and features an ensemble cast of actors voicing some strangely charming characters. Since Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellen are in it, it’s basically an unofficial X-Men sequel.
Another highlight from Aardman is Shaun the Sheep, the mischievous lamb who has gone on to star in several movies and TV series over the years. Several of these Blu-rays are also on special, and they’ve even picked up a few prestigious Annie awards over the years.
