Pilgrimage is the start of the Knights of the Nine questline in Oblivion Remastered. It begins by speaking to NPCs around churches across Cyrodiil or by heading into the city of Anvil and approaching the NPC called the “Prophet,” who is shouting outside the Anvil Chapel. There’s been a murder committed in the chapel, and the Prophet tasks you with hunting down who is responsible. Unfortunately, the Prophet believes that an ancient deity named Umaril the Unfeathered committed the murder, meaning you can’t track down the culprit easily.

Instead, you need to find and pray at nine different wayshrines along the “Pilgrim’s Way” in Cyrodiil. By doing this, you’ll be deemed worthy by the Divine Crusader and given a chance to find the Relics of the Crusader, which is the only way to defeat Umaril.
