Three limited-time drops
For as much as we’d heard about the upcoming Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy expansion, no word had come out regarding the announced Final Fantasy Secret Lair drops. Now, Wizards of the Coast have announced the contents of the drops, and the themes that connect the included cards.
The Final Fantasy Secret Lairs will be part of the Summer Superdrop, which will go on sale June 9 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. There will be three total Final Fantasy Secret Lair drops:
- Secret Lair x Final Fantasy: Game Over
- Five cards, all themed around Final Fantasy villains
- Secret Lair x Final Fantasy: Weapons
- Five cards, all themed around Final Fantasy weapons
- Secret Lair x Final Fantasy: Grimoire
- Five cards, all themed around Final Fantasy spells
The drops will be available both separately and in bundles, with some bundles including a Gilded Lotus promo card. Each card included in the Final Fantasy Secret Lair drop is below.
Magic: The Gathering – Final Fantasy launches June 13 in local game stores and big box retailers. Prerelease events are set to begin June 6 at local game stores, and the Secret Lair Summer Superdrop launches June 9.
