Tides of Tomorrow, from developer DigixArt, is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 24, 2026. The announcement was made with a special trailer during Sony’s State of Play showcase.
DigixArt’s first-person adventure game tasks players with surviving on an ocean planet in an experience that’s shaped by multiplayer sessions. This asynchronous system has each player, who mysteriously wakes up with no memory, choose another player to follow. The narrative players experience will be related to the choices the other player made.
“Thanks to our ‘asynchronous vision’ system, you’ll see echoes of this player’s choices and actions, in the form of ‘ghosts,'” game director Adrien Poncent wrote in a post. “These visions help you avoid traps, solve puzzles, investigate what happened before, or simply adapt based on the other player’s actions.”
It’s as if each player is living in a parallel universe that has a direct and continuous impact on your experience.
DigixArt’s last project was Road 96, a procedural road trip where you’d go on multiple runs with different characters. The development team’s experience creating that led them to finding a way to incorporate similar systems in a multiplayer environment.
