We’re still a long way from the holidays, but if you’re interested in the Pokemon Trading Card Game 2025 Holiday Calendar, you need to start shopping now. Preorders have officially opened for the calendar–though they quickly sold out at Best Buy. Amazon, Target, and Walmart should be opening their preorders shortly, and you’ll need to move fast if you want to reserve a unit ahead of its August 22 release date.
$50 | Releases August 22
This calendar features 25 different items that are intended to be opened daily leading up to Christmas–but nothing’s stopping you from opening them all at once and enjoying the goodies on August 22. Inside the bundle, you’ll find the following:
- 8 foil cards with a festive stamp
- 6 Pokemon TCG booster packs
- 7 Pokemon TCG 3-card fun packs
- 2 Pokemon coins
- 2 Pokemon sticker sheets
- A bonus code card for Pokemon TCG Live
That’s a pretty nice collection of TCG goodies for just $50, and it’s easy to see why it sold out at Best Buy.

The latest expansion set for the Pokemon TCG, Destined Rivals, just released on May 30. And, rather unsurprisingly, the only options available carry inflated price tags. We wouldn’t recommend spending this much on the packs–but if you really can’t wait for prices to drop and inventory to restock, you’ll find most of the packs available at Amazon. The entire collection features more than 240 cards, and the massive Booster Display Box and its 36 booster packs are the easiest way to load up on new releases.

You can also preorder Pokemon Legends: Z-A ahead of its October 16 release. It’s available on both Switch and Switch 2, with Walmart hinting at an exclusive preorder bonus.
