If Sea of Thieves was too wet for you, good news: Wildgate should take care of that. From Dreamhaven, the studio founded by Blizzard co-founder Michael Morhaime, Wildgate is a 20-player, five-ship PvP game that tasks you and your crew with retrieving “The Artifact.”

Wildgate looks like it’s going to be a fast-moving game. Players are jumping between ships, blowing up doors, fighting with ship-to-ship cannons, and even moving each others’ ships around. The colors are bright and exciting, and we’re eager to see what’s coming from this game.

We won’t have to wait long, either, because an open beta for Wildgate starts on June 9 and goes through June 16 as part of Steam NextFest, and the game will launch on July 24 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
