As of this week, Sean Connery’s James Bond films are finally available on 4K Blu-ray, and Bond fans can get the Limited Edition Steelbook 6-Film Collection for the first time in months. The Steelbook version of the collection, which includes a collector’s tin and six steelbook cases, initially sold out shortly after preorders opened in March. We never saw it come back–until now. You may have to wait a bit for your order to arrive, but you can secure the collection for $140 at Amazon. Alternatively, the standard edition set is up for grabs for $100.
Before this week, the only Bond films that were available on 4K Blu-ray were the five most-recent movies starring Daniel Craig.

The steelbook collection includes six steelbooks–one for each film–plus the large steelbook library case shown above to store each film and a certificate of authenticity. The cases feature stills of Sean Connery from the movies. You’ll get 4K and digital versions of all six films.
Since this is the first time the Sean Connery Bond films have been available on 4K Blu-ray, this set has understandably been extremely popular.
Here’s a look at the six films included in the collection:
- Dr. No
- From Russia With Love
- Goldfinger
- Thunderball
- You Only Live Twice
- Diamonds are Forever
$100

If you aren’t able to secure the Limited Edition Steelbook Box Set or simply want to save $40, you can get the same on-disc content by opting for the standard edition. Prices climbed as high as $124.79 ahead of launch, but you can currently get the 6-Film Collection on 4K Blu-ray with digital versions included for only $100 at Amazon or Walmart.
Rumors began circulating about a 007 Sean Connery bundle last November, so fans are no doubt excited that the rumors turned out to be true. Only a few Bond films have been released in 4K formats, with Daniel Craig leading the charge.
Several other James Bond Blu-rays are cheap right now, making it a good time to fill any gaps in your catalog. The James Bond Collection pulls together 24 films for just $70 (was $120), making it an easy recommendation at this price. The only Bond film that’s not included here is No Time to Die.
As mentioned, Daniel Craig’s Bond films, up until now, were the only 007 movies with 4K Blu-ray editions. You can get all five of Craig’s Bond movies on 4K for $64.48 at Amazon.
Here’s a look at a few James Bond Blu-rays and books about the film series that would be great companions for the upcoming Sean Connery collection. Most notably, you can get the massive James Bond Archives for 50% off at Amazon.

Fleming died in 1964, but official James Bond novels written by other writers are still published today.
