Among Us Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Virtual Cake, Real Party

On June 15, 2018, Innersloth debuted Among Us on mobile before eventually bringing the game to consoles and PC. The game’s seventh anniversary is coming up in a few days, and Innersloth is starting the celebration early with virtual cake, in-game collectibles, and even a real-life party.

As related on the game’s official site, anyone who plays Among Us between now and July 10 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET will get a free Caked Up Hat for their crewmember. The Skeld will also be adorned with festive decorations during that time. And for anyone who wants to play Among Us in real life with their friends, Innersloth plans to share the rules of the original game that inspired their creation. Those rules will be posted on the Among Us blog on June 15.

The day after the anniversary, Innersloth will host a special live-stream on YouTube, starting at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on June 16. The devs plan to bring along “a real-life crewmate” while making pizza-cake and celebrating the game that has become Innersloth’s signature hit.

Innersloth has also dropped some new collectibles to the Among Us’ in-game store:

  • Note to Self Namplate
  • ERRORERRORERROR Nameplate
  • I Was Framed! Nameplate
  • That’s a Bit of a Breach Nameplate
  • Pompous Fit Skin
  • Belle of the Ball Skin
  • It’s All About Balance Hat (Watermelon)
  • My Beret or the Highway Hat (Black) (Blue) (Pink)
  • Not 2 Self Visor (Sad) (Happy)
  • I Got a Boo Boo Visor
  • Starry-Eyed Purple Visor
  • Lovely to See You Visor (Magenta)
  • Snuggly Scarf (Yellow/Green) (Sepia)
  • And You Have My Bow (Red) (Pink)

Earlier this year, Innersloth debuted Among Us 3D, a port of Among Us VR that takes out the virtual-reality component completely. The Among Us animated series remains in the works, but it doesn’t currently have a premiere date.
