Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, until now, held the highest-rated score on review aggregate site Metacritic. It’s been dethroned by the Switch 2 upgrades for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, which were released in conjunction with the new console’s launch.
As spotted by GamesRadar, Tears of the Kingdom holds the top spot now, with a score of 95, while Breath of the Wild matches Expedition 33’s aggregate score of 93. It’s important to note that Expedition 33 has in excess of 80 critics’ reviews contributing to its impressive score though, while Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom have eleven and nine, respectfully.
