It can take you around 33 hours or more to complete Death Stranding 2’s main story. In fact, as mentioned in our game review, it had taken our writer that much time to reconnect the Chiral Network across two countries to finish the campaign, while also doing some side orders/objectives.

That said, you might also want to pace yourself, which can further increase the amount of time you spend playing the game. If you tackle even more optional objectives, then it’s possible to clock in around 50 hours.

Finally, for completionists out there, you can expect to put in 100 hours or more depending on all the content that you want to finish. This includes repair tasks, secret/hidden settlements, maximum connection/reputation levels, and engagement with other players in the community.
