It’s the second month of Pokemon Go’s Delightful Days season, and the mobile game is keeping the festivities rolling with a variety of events and activities in July. This month marks Pokemon Go’s 9th anniversary, and the game is celebrating with a big event featuring some festive Pokemon debuts and a new Masterwork Research story.
On top of that, players have a few summery events to look forward to this month, including a Summer Concert and the return of the Water Festival. Pokemon Go is also hosting two Community Days in July, as well as new Spotlight Hours and raid battles.

July Raid Schedule
Pokemon Go is bringing back some fan-favorite legendary and Mega Pokemon for its July raid rotation.
The legendary Swords of Justice–Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion–will all return to five-star raids at various points in July, as will Pokemon Sun and Moon mascots Solgaleo and Lunala. Meanwhile, Mega Charizard X, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Venusaur will make an encore appearance in Mega raids this month, along with Mega Aggron and Mega Aerodactyl.
Max Battles will see the return of Dynamax Shuckle, Dynamax Gastly, and Dynamax Kabuto, and Shadow Registeel will make an appearance as a special Shadow raid boss every weekend this month.

July Spotlight Hours
Pokemon Go is hosting more Spotlight Hour events in July.
Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, one species of Pokemon will appear in the wild more frequently, making this a good opportunity to fill out your Pokedex and stock up on candy. The game will also offer an extra bonus during that hour, such as double XP or Stardust for catching Pokemon.

9th Anniversary Party
Pokemon Go is kicking off the month with a 9th Anniversary celebration from July 1-6.
As part of the festivities, several party-ready Pokemon will make their debut. Party hat-wearing versions of Ivysaur and Venusaur will be available for the first time, and you’ll have a chance to catch a Gimmighoul holding a special 9th anniversary coin after completing Field Research tasks.
A slew of bonuses will be active throughout the event as well. You’ll have an increased chance of becoming Lucky Friends with another player, and you’ll be more likely to receive Lucky Pokemon from trades. A few bonuses will also be available during specific days. Eggs placed in Incubators from July 1-3 will hatch at half the distance they normally require, and you’ll earn double XP for catching Pokemon from July 3-5.
Rounding out the event are an assortment of challenges to complete. In addition to free Field and Timed Research tasks, the shop will offer a paid Masterwork Research story called Wish Granted. Complete this exclusive quest and you’ll earn a chance to catch a shiny Jirachi.

Pokemon Go is bringing Eevee back for a two-day Community Day Classic on July 5 and 6.
From 2-5 PM local time each day, Eevee will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual, making this a good chance to catch some and stock up on Eevee candy. Not only that, but you’ll have more chances of coming across a shiny Eevee as well.
The event will also give you another chance to snag some special moves. Eevee and its different evolved forms will each be able to learn an event-exclusive attack if you can hatch or evolve them before 10 PM local time on July 12. You can see the full list of featured attacks below.
Rounding out the event are the usual assortment of bonuses. Eggs placed in Incubators will hatch at a quarter of the distance they normally require, while Incense and Lure Modules will last for three hours. The game is also temporarily reducing the requirements for evolving Eevee, making it easier to get the aforementioned featured attacks.

These reduced evolution requirements will last until 10 PM on July 12.
Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration


As a bonus for completing enough Global Challenges during Pokemon Go Fest 2025, Pokemon Go is hosting a special Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration from July 8-13.
As part of the event, both Hisuian Zorua and its evolved form, Hisuian Zoroark, will be available in Pokemon Go for the first time. You’ll be able to encounter the ghost fox in the wild alongside other Pokemon from the Hisui region like Hisuian Voltorb, Petilil, Bergmite, and Hisuian Qwilfish.
There will also be new Research tasks and Collection Challenges to complete, as well as a few bonuses to enjoy. Catching Pokemon will net you four times the usual amount of XP and Stardust, and you’ll have increased odds of encountering shiny versions of Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Unown U.

Players can challenge another powerful Gigantamax Pokemon during a Gigantamax Max Battle Day on July 19.
Summer Concert
Pokemon Go is hosting a new Summer Concert event from July 19-22.


The second Community Day of the month takes place on July 20.
The featured Pokemon this time is Quaxly, the water-type starter from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. From 2-5 PM local time, Quaxly will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual. Moreover, the increased spawn rate means you’ll have better odds of encountering a shiny Quaxly during the event.
As with other Community Day Pokemon, the Quaxly line can also learn an event-exclusive attack as part of July’s Community Day. Any Quaxwell that you evolve into Quaquaval by 10 PM local time on July 27 will learn the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon.
On top of that, event-themed Field and Timed Research tasks will be available. Completing these will net you various rewards, including additional chances to catch Quaxly. The shop will also offer a paid Community Day Special Research ticket that includes extra rewards, such as a Rare Candy XL and a Premium Battle Pass.
Finally, the usual assortment of bonuses will be active throughout July’s Community Day. You’ll earn triple Stardust and double candy for catching Pokemon, and any Lure Modules or Incense you use during the event (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours.
