Death Stranding 2: On the Beach may have had a late June release, but four days was all it took for Hideo Kojima’s latest title to top the North American chart for PS5 games in June.

In the European Union, Death Stranding 2 debuted at No. 4, while Rematch claimed the top slot on that chart. The arcade-style soccer game also proved to be popular in North America with a debut at No. 4.

Grand Theft Auto 5 placed near the top of both charts, as the lists were filled up by a lot of older titles, including Mortal Kombat 11 and Mortal Kombat 1.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 reached first place on both the North American and European charts for PS4 games. The title has seen a similar resurgence on Steam as players are seemingly trying to will Star Wars Battlefront 3 into existence.

For PSVR2 games, Skydance’s Behemoth also placed No. 1 in both territories. But considering that there aren’t many fresh options for PS VR 2 games, that wasn’t entirely unexpected.

Among free-to-play games, Splitgate 2 was dominant in North America and hit No. 4 in Europe. Fortnite was No. 2 in North America and took the top slot in Europe as well.
