Walmart has restocked The Super Mario Bros. Movie Power-Up Steelbook Edition for $30. The 4K Blu-ray combo pack has largely been sold out since its original release in 2023. If you haven’t picked up a Steelbook Edition of the animated hit, now’s a good time to grab this one. Walmart recently sold out of its exclusive Question Block Steelbook, which released in March for around the same price as the Power-Up Edition is going for now.

The Power-Up Edition has a black case with a Super Mushroom on the front and back. The interior artwork is a landscape shot of the Mushroom Kingdom leading up to Princess Peach’s Castle. It comes with 4K Blu-ray, standard Blu-ray, and digital versions of the movie. Resellers regularly sell this edition for $50 on Amazon.

The 2025 Walmart-exclusive Steelbook Edition of The Super Mario Bros. Movie is modeled after the iconic Question Block from the games (and film). Instead of bopping it with your head to reveal its contents, it’s advisable to simply open it like a normal case. The interior design features landscape artwork of the large mushrooms depicted in the film.
The steelbook case has slots for the 4K Blu-ray and 1080p Blu-ray discs of the film. Like the original release, you’ll also get a digital copy of the film. The Mario Movie is available on Movies Anywhere, so you can add it to your library and watch on any of your devices.
This steelbook design originally launched in the UK before receiving a US release at Walmart. It’s unclear if this edition will be reprinted.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie remains the king of video game adaptations, as the only film to eclipse $1 billion at the box office. The Universal Pictures and Nintendo hit brought in $1.36 billion. Earlier this year, A Minecraft Movie fell just short of the billion-dollar mark, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 nabbed the third slot on the list with nearly $500 million.
