Since the end of Season 2 of HBO’s The Last of Us, Bella Ramsey has been trying to figure out a way to work together with former co-star Pedro Pascal again. The Emmy-nominated actor has found themselves with another Outstanding Lead Actress nomination, with Pascal also racking up another Outstanding Lead Actor nod, as well as the show getting a second Outstanding Drama Series nomination.
Speaking to Variety, Ramsey joked, “I think maybe like a heist movie where we’re robbing a bank together.”
Ramsey continued by saying the most common question they get is about Pascal. “It’s, ‘How is Pedro Pascal? Is he as nice as he seems?'” they shared. “That’s mostly what people ask me, and the answer is, ‘Yes.'” Ramsey also mentioned they hadn’t seen Pascal in a while and were “looking around, trying to find him.” They laughed about how their texts are mostly about trying to hang out: “Where in the world are you? I’m here, are you there? Oh, we just missed each other.”
Talk also turned to superheroes, since Pascal was in this summer’s Fantastic Four: First Steps. When asked if they ever told Pascal they wanted to be in the next Marvel movie, Ramsey replied, “I don’t know about that,” but added, “I could be Spider-Man. Tom Holland did a great job, though. So maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me.” Ramsey admitted they’re new to superhero films. The first Marvel movie they ever watched was an Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man movie just a few months ago.
“It was the first time I watched a Marvel film, and that was two months, three months ago,” they said. “Incredible. I loved it.”
The Last of Us continued to earn critical acclaim for its Season 2, earning 16 total Emmy nominations ahead of the September 14 award ceremony. Although Season 3 is greenlit, Ramsey confirmed that they have not read any scripts nor confirmed when shooting will begin.
