Gears of War: Reloaded launches on August 26, marking the first time the popular shooter series is coming to Sony’s PlayStation console. Preloading
Preloading for Gears of War: Reloaded is available now, and the game weighs in at 68.75 GB on Xbox. The PS5 file size is 63.1 GB. On Steam, 70 GB of free space is required.
Gears of War: Reloaded is priced at $40 and if you want it on a disc, Microsoft is only selling physical copies for PS5. Anyone who already owns the digital version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will get Reloaded for free. It’s also included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Reloaded is a remaster of the original Gears of War, featuring 4K resolution and up to 120fps support, along with multiplayer. Microsoft has described it as the “definitive” edition of the game. It supports cross-play between console platforms and PC.
Developer The Coalition is also working on a brand-new Gears game, Gears of War E-Day, and it’s set for release in 2026. A Gears of War movie from John Wick’s David Leitch is in the works as well.
