The Street Fighter movie is officially back on Legendary Pictures’ schedule, with a release date of October 16, 2026. The full cast of fighters has been announced, and it’s a who’s who in music, wrestling, and entertainment. From Broadway actor and country music star Orville Peck as the cage fighter Vega, to WWE stars Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns as Guile and Akuma, respectively. Even non-fighters are sharing some of the spotlight as the Jimmy Hart-inspired ring announcer Don Sauvage is showing up, played by comedian and prankster Eric Andre.
Some of these fans have known for a while, but throwing in Alexander Volkanovski as Joe from the first Street Fighter game is a nice touch.
This will be the first live-action Street Fighter movie since 2009’s universally panned Legend of Chun-Li, and at the moment, it’s hard to tell what sort of vibe the film is going for. Regardless, with Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat 2 now both coming out next year, it’ll hopefully be a good year for fighting game fans.
Now, let’s take a look at the stars of Street Fighter.
