Rockstar Games has announced a nice bonus for GTA 5 players that might encourage people to jump back in to GTA Online. Now through September 17, everyone who logs in to GTA Online will receive $1,000,000 worth of GTA$. GTA+ members, meanwhile, will get an additional $1,000,000.
This also applies to anyone who signs up for GTA+ now through September 17. Players can expect the GTA$ bonuses to hit their accounts within 72 hours.
GTA+ costs $8/month and, in addition to various perks for GTA Online, includes access to a library of Rockstar games, including Red Dead Redemption, Bully, L.A. Noire, and others.
Rockstar said it’s offering this bonus for GTA Online as an “end of summer” perk.
Rockstar also announced this week’s perks for GTA Online, and they include double GTA$ and RP on Simeon contact missions, along with double GTA$ and RP for player-created tracks in the Community Race Series. Rockstar is also offering 30% off items at the Smoke on the Water dispensary.
GTA Online is a “cash cow,” according to one analyst, with Rockstar making money on the game’s various microtransactions. GTA 6 is coming in May 2026, but Rockstar has yet to speak about a multiplayer mode for the game, which seems like a sure thing given the enormous success of GTA Online.
