Microsoft is launching a new Gears of War T-shirt and hoodie, and all proceeds will go to the Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit that provides free, 24/7, confidential mental health support to anyone who needs it.
The new shirt and hoodie, which were designed by Ratta Rodriguez, are available now to buy at the Gears of War shop. However, the items are only up for sale until September 24.
“The rapidly rising rates of suicide, depression and loneliness concern us deeply and we believe in the opportunity to come together to reduce and prevent further suffering,” developer The Coalition said.
The T-shirt is priced at $35 and the hoodie goes for $65. Both are available in sizes S-3XL. Both also include two Never Fight Alone sensory stickers that are four inches wide and feature the Never Fight Alone logo on them. These stickers have a textured surface meant to help people manage stress.
Back in 2022, Microsoft announced the Never Fight Alone campaign in partnership with Crisis Text Line, and at the time, the company said it would donate 1% of net revenue from Gears of War game and merch sales to the nonprofit. That same 1% donation for game and merch sales remains in place, The Coalition confirmed today.
In other news about Gears of War, the longtime Xbox-exclusive franchise just recently came to PlayStation with Gears of War Reloaded. The next new entry in the series is Gears of War: E-Day, which is set for release in 2026.
