A Big Star Wars Outlaws Surprise Has Been Spoiled By A Leak, As Free Demo Goes Live

A major announcement about Star Wars Outlaws has been spoiled as a trailer for the game’s next DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune, found its way online this week, revealing a first look at the content and a release date.

The trailer, which is due to be revealed officially and in full on April 18 as part of Star Wars Celebration, stated that the DLC will launch on May 15. It’s second paid DLC for the game, following Wild Card.

VGC reported that a listing for A Pirate’s Fortune said the DLC will have players meeting up with Hondo Ohnaka as they fight Stinger Tash and the Rokana Raiders inside the Khepi Tomb. The DLC also reportedly includes cosmetic items based on the TV series Skeleton Crew, including an outfit for Nix.

Additionally, a free demo for Star Wars Outlaws is out now, allowing people to play the game for up to three hours. However, the fine print states that progress from the demo does not carry over to the full game.

Star Wars Outlaws launched in August 2024 but had lower-than-expected sales, prompting Ubisoft to announce a campaign to help turn things around.

In other news, Ubisoft recently announced that Star Wars Outlaws is coming to Switch 2, a development that the tech experts at Digital Foundry said was “pretty mind-blowing.”

In terms of other upcoming Star Wars games, Quantic Dream is making Star Wars Eclipse, while Amy Hennig’s team at Skydance is making a Star Wars game of their own. Then there’s Star Wars Zero Company, which will have its official unveiling on April 19.
