Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is available now for those who upgraded to its Digital Deluxe Edition, and alongside its ripping soundtrack, there’s another little audio nugget you might miss–a rather-unexpected reference to the greatest SpongeBob episode of all time.
Load up the Airport level, available in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 part of the remake, and start skating around, but make sure you’re listening to the PA announcer.

Now Playing: How A Tony Hawk Level Gets Made
The voice primarily mentions delays and gate changes, but also includes a reference to Airplane and the aforementioned SpongeBob line:
“The driver of a white sedan–you left your lights on.”
It’s slightly tweaked from the famous “Band Geeks” episode to fit the official-sounding announcer’s voice, but it’s pretty clear that Iron Galaxy and Activision appreciate Patrick Star. Of course, the new Bikini Bottom area included in the game does this, as well.
The line was originally uttered by Patrick in the episode after he was taken into a parking lot and beaten up to the point of getting shoved inside a trombone. There’s nothing that grisly when you get injured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, luckily.
