Twin Peaks Fans Can Soon Watch The Prequel Movie On 4K UHD Blu-Ray

Twin Peaks fans will soon be able to watch Fire Walk with Me on 4K Blu-ray. Criterion’s restoration of the 1992 David Lynch film originally released in 2017 on Blu-ray and DVD. The 1080p Blu-ray edition in the Criterion Collection was based on a 4K digital restoration supervised and approved by David Lynch. Now, eight years later, the restoration will finally be watchable in 4K UHD resolution. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me launches October 7 and is available to preorder for $50 at Amazon.

Some Twin Peaks fans may have recently purchased either a box set containing Fire Walk with Me or Criterion’s standard Blu-ray edition, which is currently on sale for only $20 (was $40). Earlier this year, Paramount reissued the long sold-out Twin Peaks: From Z to A, a Blu-ray collection featuring all three seasons of the show, the prequel movie Fire Walk with Me (in 1080p), and a bunch of bonus content across 21 discs. From Z to A is available for $55 (was $70) at Amazon. From Z to A has 4K versions of the Twin Peaks Pilot and Season 3, Episode 8. The version of Fire Walk with Me in this set, however, is standard Blu-ray.
