Mafia: The Old Country is set to be released this Friday, August 8, marking the first new entry in the series since 2016’s Mafia 3. It’s a prequel to the first game in the series, and so far has been billed as a smaller game than its predecessors–for example, it won’t have an open world like Mafia 3, and it will only set you back $50 as opposed to the current $70-or-higher game trend.

GameSpot spoke with some of the team at Hangar 13 about the game last month, talking about how setting the game right at the beginning of the 20th century factored into development, and how combat differs from previous entries.
