Battlefield 6’s open beta has just kicked off its second weekend, but there were some issues out of the gate that Battlefield Studios is working to address.
To begin with, the developer acknowledged “ongoing matchmaking issues” for some players on certain playlists. “We’re actively investigating this and working towards a solve as soon as possible. Hang tight while we dig into this!” the studio said.

For this issue, Battlefield Studios said it recommends people first ensure they are running the most recent client update. People using the EA App can try to fix the issue by pressing the “Repair” button. “The team continues to assess this,” the developer said.
Additionally, DLSS/DLAA on PC is unavailable right now, and Battlefield Studios has identified the issue and is working on a fix.
On Steam, the Battlefield 6 open beta has surged in popularity, reaching more than 300,000 peak concurrent players today, August 14. The beta runs through August 17.
For the second weekend, the Battlefield 6 open beta added a new map, Empire State, along with a nice new matchmaking feature called “Custom Search.”
The full game, meanwhile, is slated for release on October 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
